Course Outline:
Introduction to Analog Photography:
Explore how analog cameras function and how they differ from digital ones. Discover which camera suits your needs, how to effectively use your camera's light meter, and understand ISO settings, aperture, and shutter speeds. Learn about the best film types for various conditions, along with tips for achieving optimal results.
Still Life Photography and Development:
Capture a still life in the studio using an analog camera with studio flash. Then, develop your own film to witness the magic of analog photography firsthand.
Printing in the Darkroom:
Get familiar with the printing process in the darkroom. Learn to create contact sheets and enhance your photos.
Advanced Printing and Digitization:
Explore advanced printing techniques like dodging and burning in the darkroom, or learn how to scan and digitize negatives for digital use.
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to 'slow photography,' showcasing the unique charm of traditional photography that sets it apart from digital.
